A voice of the devil? It was a whisper full of seductive temptation. Coco couldn’t tell what it was, but an unexplainable lust pushed the cat to take the Scroll. She tiptoed to the entrance quietly in the dark and escaped from the cave through a small opening between the huge rocks.
Captain Button was already gone. The sullen cat felt she was doomed to die on the island, but she still hoped to stay alive. The cat saw a two-litre wine bottle the pirates had left on a grassy trail. She poked one of her front paws to a tree branch with long sharp thorns. A stream of blood ran down her paw to the tip of her claw. With her blood, Coco wrote a message on a dry yellow leaf. She sealed the message in the bottle with a waterproof cork and tossed it into the ocean. The message said: turtle island, monster, gold!
Dusk was here. The sky was darkening. Coco was delighted to find a canoe pushed to shore by incoming waves although Captain Button had sunk the boats before he embarked on board his pirate ship. The cat bade a farewell to the dead pirates. Holding the Scroll, she got o the canoe leaving the island and terror behind.
The boat was drifting along the waves while the island faded into the distance. Then Coco saw Captain Button’s ship moving slowly not far away. The captain was still seeking for the desired heading , Although Coco was extremely averse to getting on board the same ship with the atrocious man, the cat had no other choice in order to survive the sea. She managed to climb up into the ship undetected. The captain failed to notice there was now another passenger on board.
