Let’s begin with the introduce of this movie after some piece of music. music 01 engagement party A: the movie has a romantic name called La la land. It’s an romantic musical film written and directed by Damien Chazelle.It stars Ryan Gosling as a jazz pianist and Emma Stone as an aspiring actress, who meet and fall in love while pursuing their dreams in Los Angeles. B：i know this movie! I have watched this movie for many times. The story of this movie is so touching. La La Land was critically praised, particularly for Chazelle's screenplay and direction, Gosling and Stone's performances, musical score, musical numbers, cinematography, and production design. A:Both the American Film Institute and National Board of Review selected La La Land as one of the top ten films of 2016. It won a record-breaking seven awards from its seven nominations at the 74th Golden Globes and received eleven nominations at the 70th British Academy Film Awards, winning five awards, including Best Film. It also received a record-tying fourteen nominations at the 89th Academy Awards, including Best Picture; winning in six categories including Best Director and Best Actress. B: it tells a story about two dreamers. actress Mia got a crush on Sebastian Wilder, a struggling jazz pianist. they fell in love with each other madly. Not after long, Mia decides, at Sebastian's suggestion, to write a one-woman play. Sebastian begins to perform regularly at a jazz club, and the two move in together. music 02 planetarium A: finally Mia received a call from a prominent casting director who attended Mia's play and wants to invite her to a film audition. Sebastian, confident the audition was a success, encourages Mia to devote herself to film acting. The two profess they will always love each other but are uncertain of their future. The songs and score for La La Land were composed and orchestrated by Justin Hurwitz, Chazelle's Harvard University classmate, who also worked on his two prior films. The lyrics were written by Pasek and Paul, except for "Start a Fire", which was written by John Legend.
