The cycle starts again

so spring comes around again, that
revolving sushi bar of time
forever bringing february back to our table.
like the immigrants of old i emerge
carved in ice, from the recesses
of the bitter virginia winter,
await the tidings of march.
the daffodils stretch their stems;
in a month they will yawn open
herald the drip of newly thawed warmth;
the groundhog died;
the birds have yet to return;
but it is only a matter of time.

美国最早的移民
从维州的残冬冒出头，
等待着三月的来临。
