L: Hello everyone, welcome to English Classroom. This is our first special program newly carried out this semester, IELTS&TOFEL. In here, we are about to share some information and experience related to ILETS&TOFEL test with you. A: We have two different show, focusing on IELTS and TOFEL respectively every two weeks, brining you useful materials we selected and our personal experience. Hope you can find what you want in this new, different show. L: I'm your old friend Lexi. A: And I'm your new friend ......introduction L: Ok, today, our topic is IELTS. We will mainly talk about some basic information of this test system and some common questions students have. IELTS is the international English Language Test System, the world's proven English test. A: It was one of the pioneers of four skills English language testing over 25 years ago, and continues to set the standard for English language testing today. L: It is also, accepted as evidence of English language proficiency by over 9000 organizations worldwide due to its high quality controls. A: Whether you are tend to start an international study or employment, you ought to have this certification to prove your communication skills. L: There are, in total, four components including listening, reading, writing and speaking in one test. Your final score will be the average number of the four scores you got in these tests. A: Listening has four sections, and each section has a mix of question types like gap filling, matching, multiple choice, chart/table completion and so on. Reading contains three articles, is considered as the most difficult one in four components. It also has different questions types. L: In writing, you have to write two articles within the stipulated time. One is graph composition and the other is usually argumentation. And the speaking, the only one that needs an interviewer, is always the most terrifying one. There are three parts, including about seven to ten questions and a free talk in this test.
