Au: Okay, this time my recommendation is a love movie named Pride and Prejudice. Obviously, the film is adapted from Jane Austen’s novel , Pride and Prejudice. The story follows the main character Elizabeth Bennet as she deals with issues of manners , upbringings, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of early 19th-century England. I’ve watched it for many times and I have to say Keira Knightley playing the role of Eliza and Matthew Macfadyen playing the part of Mr. Darcy really did a good job. You know, their cooperation of performance is extremely pleasing to us , especially to the audience who have a acquirement of appearance. The trailer~ Preview: Al:I bet a lot of you, especially the girls, have watched this film before, cause, you know, it’s really a classic Jane Austen love story, and the most famous proud yet charming character Mr. Darcy, who is considered an ideal type of guy for many girls. But some people may say that this is a just typical chick film that only girls will fancy the romance described in the film. But, I have to say, there are a lot of other things that you can explore, like the the image of the traditional English countryside, the different manors and lifestyles of the peasants and the noble,and the specific history background that people of all classes observe strict hierarchy. So, it is not just a beautiful love story but a miniature of the society back then. Ph:Yeah.The film also reflects the fancy beauty of their clothing style,which is really headline–grabbing.I still remember the scene where Elizabeth reads the letters from her relative in the tiny pastoral house，dressed in a white floor-length night skirt with lace on.Just like an angel of wisdom,Elizabeth shows her charm in her unique way.Well...here we say no more,let&`&s jump to the clips. Clips: C:Compared with the highly-regarded 1995 BBC series,this film also offers some new perspectives on very familiar characters. Tom Hollander in particular, gives Mr. Collins something approaching dignity in his determined but usually unsuccessful attempts to ingratiate himself with those more powerful than him, and he provides some of the funniest moments of the film – witness his attempts to gain Mr. Darcy&`&s attention at the ball. Mrs. Bennet too, who we all remember Alison Steadman playing with an enthusiasm approaching pantomime, is more sympathetic in the hands of Brenda Blethyn because we understand more clearly the reasons behind her desperation to marry her daughters off. Mr. Bingley teeters a fine line between nervous hesitancy and simple-minded idiocy which made me question why Jane Bennet would ever consider marrying him. Au: Well, I still remember the lines in the movie that it is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a life. Though Mr Darcy looks icy, he is quite cute, you know ,the cool appearance matching a warm heart. Okay, time for music~ So, what’s your recommendation this time? C:well,a masterpiece from my dream-lover Troye Sivan,which called Touch,let’s enjoy it. Music Play:Touch C:Over the past couple of years, Troye has released two EPs, the one in 2014 being TRXYE and the one in 2015 being WILD. His unique blend of electro-pop and smooth melodies have taken him as high as number fifteen on Billboard&`&s Social 50 list, which chronicles the most influential names in music today. Along with WILD and the lead single Talk Me Down off of his new album Blue Neighbourhood which came out on December 4th, he released a trilogy of music videos titled Blue Neighbourhood.This trilogy tells a tragedy of two boys who fall in love with each other as their growing up,which tears my heart apart every time i watch it. Au:Well ,actually I’m not quite familiar with this guy , but I know he is so famous on YouTube for his music vedios.You know, when I first heard this song, I can mightily feel that he is a talented man who has a sensitive heart with his own personality. I just can’t help rocking myself from side to side with this melody. P:His moderate voice trips me up because he is just two years older than me.Full of inspiration in music,he has attained a genuine style of his own.Other than this song,I wanna recommend a much softer music named Start,composed by John Legend.Here we go. Play:Start P:This song is written for the film titled Southside with You,telling theromanticstory ofObama and Michelle about how they met.So what you hear feels like a piece ofchocolate,which contains sweetness as well as bitterness.I got to know John Legend and his unforgettable powerful voice for hisAll of Me.He is kind of a new soul singer,whose song I will set as a single cycle.Suit for quiet nights,I guess. C:you&`&re right.i sure am agree with you that John Legend is a soul singer,phoebe.Speaking of his masterpiece,his presentation in Like I&`&m Gonna Lose You is my favourite part.Hard to put it,but it seems like there&`&s a myterious shield ,which enables you to dissipate all the other sounds around you except for his singing. Al: Yes, I also believe that John Legend is a master for love songs, his voice is just enchanting and perfectly matches the feeling of the joy or pain that love brings. It’s just that when you listen to his singing, you may get so emotional that it reminds you of your own related experience. Au: Yep! Well, the program is drawing to a close.
