X:hi, there buddies~Alexa here, Welcome to this week's Movie&Music. Wow, feels so good to be back in this recording room with my friends and talk through this microphone to you guys. This magical and familiar feeling all of a sudden just comes back to me. A new semester has already begun and I'm just so excited to embark on a new MM journey with you guys.
C:hey u,i am Carl.
P:Hi.Phoebe's speaking.Nice to be here.
A:Hello,everyone .I’m back.This is your Audrey.
X:The movie we bring you today actually is an old one first released in 2004, called The Notebook. I'm sure a lot of you have watched it or heard of it coz it is so highly rated as a classic romantic American drama movie. First, let the movie introduce itself, please. Here is the trailer.
Trailer :
C:This movie will have you feeling happy and joyful and the scenery is just brilliant. You will feel like you are part of the characters, and you will care about them throughout the whole movie. To put it short,a poor yet passionate young man falls in love with a rich young woman, giving her a sense of freedom, but they are soon separated because of their social differences. If you have watched the La La Land, your passion for Gosling may be revived.
X:Recently I rewatched The Notebook because of my current obsession with Ryan Gosling after watching la la land twice in the cinema and loving it. Comparing with the last time, I find Gosling more attractive than he was in my first impression couple years ago. He did a phenomenal job presenting this passionate, determined young man who never gives up pursuing the love of his life. His acting did carry the story smoothly and spontaneously that let the audience can easily feel related to and be moved. The leading actress, Rachel McAdams, I have to say she's such a classic Hollywood beauty. Her glamorous face and enthusiastic acting just dazzled my eyes. The movie, to me, apart from its story but from the picture, is enjoyable enough.
Clips:
A:The movie is adapted from the novel for the some name written by an American novelist Nicholas Sparks which was published in 1994.And it was on the New York Times best-seller list in its first week of release.Much to my surprise, the touching story was inspired by the grandparents of Sparks’ wife. What’s on your mind,P?
P:It was couple of years ago when I watched the movie.I still remember when the old gentleman said,"I was no one special, just a common man with common thoughts, and lived a common life. There is no milestone for me and my name will soon be forgot. But in some respects,I succeeded as gloriously as anyone who ever lived.I have loved a person with all my heart and soul.As for me,that has always been enough."The deepness and loyalism of their romance really touched me.As time going by,beauty can fade, but love will never.

A:Due to the success of la la land, the music, city of stars also becomes a big hit in several music ranking lists.’City of stars There's so much that I can't seeWho knows?I felt it from the first embrace I shared with you That now our dreamsThey've finally come true.’ The lyrics are just like the portrayal of the whole film, witnessing the love between the pianist and the actress.
X: Yes, that's a very beautiful and touching song. And now let's switch the channel and jump into a strong beat recommended by Audrey. Here we go.
Play:Uptown Funk
A:Well, well, well.I can’t stop rocking with the rhythm when the music is playing. It’s extremely a hot song sung by Mark Ronson,Bruno Mars in 2015. But this time I prefer to recommend a version of Dimash, a Pakistan male singer, who is quite in vogue coz he has attended ‘The Singer’, a domestic singing competition. Not only his fabulous singing skill but also the handsome face and the height over 190cm do attract me.
P:yes you're right.Every time I watch the ‘singer’,Dimash is my most anticipated singer.About uptown funk the version of Bruno Mars has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. This time Dimash's version gives the song new connotation and new vitality. But I think Dimash's voice may be more suitable to sing songs like Opera rather than dance music. His high-pitched voice is just incredible.
C: This gotta be a very light and pleasant song ,which reminds me of the hilarious scene from the MV of this song. With all due respect, the rhythm is much more impressive than the lyrics.I sincerely hope you can be fond of today's recommendations.Looking forward to the next meeting.see you~
