call sb. on sth.
其实放在一起的call on，我们在学习新概念课程中的时候，有讲过。
call on sb.或者call upon sb.
都可以指“拜访某个人”；visit sb.
eg: We could call on my parents if we have time.
如果我们有时间的话，我们可以去看望我爸妈。
但是此时如果把顺序颠倒一下，意思有挺大区别；
call sb. on sth.
可以用来指：to confront one about one’s misdeeds or unpleasant behavior
跟某个人对质，因为他做了一些错误或者不好的行为，甚至是犯罪了；
或者：
to tell someone that one has noticed that he or she has done something wrong
告诉某个人自己已经意识到他/她做了错事；
eg: If your intern keeps coming in late, you need to call her on it.
如果你的实习生一直迟到的话，你得说说她了。
eg: When I called her on her bad behavior, she apologized and said that it would not happen again.
当我针对她的不好的行为批评她的时候，她道歉了并保证以后不会再发生了。
当然了这个短语在日常生活中还有别的意思，比如说

其实lose it如果使用在描述情绪的场合，基本就等同于：lose control
