Well, Valentines Day is just around the corner! 很快就是情人节了 So today, I’m going to tell you the correct way to use the word “date” 今天我来告诉你 date 的正确用法 Now “date” has become a really popular word in China. I often hear people saying “I’m going to date my friends tonight” or “Do you want to date with me tomorrow?” 在中国经常听到这样的说法。但是今天我要告诉你，这些说法是错的! Why？Because “date” is only used for talking about romantic relationship, and usually at the beginning of their relationship! 因为 date 一般用于情侣之间的约会, 而且一般是在拍拖比较早期的时候用的词 For example I’ve started dating a new guy. It’s going pretty well. 我刚开始和一个新的男孩拍拖了。一切还挺好的 Matt finally asked me out on a date! Matt终于邀请我去约会了! Sorry, I can’t come for dinner tonight.
