今天我们会给大家推荐一些英文的童书，童谣，绘本，故事书。
Reading Education for Children in English-Speaking Countries
英语国家儿童阅读教育
Reading is a very important part of American children’s education and childhood.
重视小朋友纸质书阅读的能力the ability of reading paper books.
孩子们被鼓励to read in school and at home，by themselves and with their parents（自己读以及和父母共读）。
Reading aloud is important. 大声朗读很重要。
There are often charity events and library events.经常有鼓励孩子阅读的慈善活动或者图书馆活动。
《朗读手册》是美国家喻户晓的书，里面强调了阅读的重要性，并有很多的朗读方法。
American schools don’t ask for memorizing. 美国学校没有背诵文化。
English is phonetic.英语是拼音文字，靠背诵学习非常低效，最好的方式是大量的听读。
二、Nursery Rhymes and Songs Recommendation英文童谣推荐
《鹅妈妈童谣》 Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme（韵律感很强，很适合磨耳朵）
除了《鹅妈妈童谣》之外，还有Dr. Seuss的书也很受欢迎。
It is good for kids of all ages. 适合所有年龄的孩子。

三、Short Picture Books Recommendation简单绘本推荐
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
讲的是Brown Bear和其他的animals，他们explore their world（探索世界）时，对世界的好奇。
这本书设计巧妙，给孩子一点线索，让孩子在探索中，help them associate colors and meanings to objects，帮助小孩子将颜色和意义与物体联系起来。
Goodnight Moon
Very famous bedtime story. 非常有名的睡前故事。
它讲的是a young bunny在准备睡觉前，say goodnight to everything in his room的故事，语言简洁却温馨。
作者Margaret Wise Brown的另一本书I Like Stars，也是一样的风格，重复简单的句式，读起来却很美。
The Giving Tree
It is originally a long poem. 原本是一首长诗。
它讲的是the life of an apple tree and a boy，他们慢慢成为good friends，一起成长。
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
这本书讲的是a very hungry caterpillar 通过吃很多食物，最后it turns into a butterfly的故事。
很受小朋友喜欢，因为他们也想像caterpillar一样，能够吃穿很多食物。
From Head to Toe
Same author as The Very Hungry Caterpillar.和《好饿好饿的毛毛虫》是一个作者。
书中的动物们会让小朋友们copy their actions as they play。跟着做动作。

Kids’ books to read (1st-3rd grade)适合1-3年级孩子阅读
Arthur books
There are 27 books total. 总共有27本。
There is a TV show based on the books. 有根据书拍的动画。
讲的是一只叫Arthur的aardvark（土豚）和家人朋友 going on all kinds of adventures（冒险）的故事。
Berenstein Bears
It is about a family of bears that go on adventures together. 一家子熊一起冒险的故事。
Kids’ books to read (4th or 5th grade)适合4、5年级孩子阅读
（*这里说的是美国的四、五年级，中国的孩子差不多是初中，当然，要依据孩子的英语水平进行选书）
Magic School Bus《神奇校车》
It is both books and a TV show. 有书籍，也有动画。
A magic school bus带着师生去很多地方学习science（科学）.
It is very fun and imaginative. 非常有想象力。
Magic Tree House《神奇树屋》
Jack and Annie发现了a tree house ，他们能够通过这个书屋go on adventures in different parts of history，并在神奇的穿梭中学习。
对比以上两个系列的丛书，Magic School Bus更偏向于自然科学，而Magic Tree House更倾向于人文。
Junie B Jones
Junie B. Jones是一个 "almost six-year-old" girl，书中讲了her adventures in kindergarten and first grade（从幼儿园到一年级的冒险故事）。
