介绍:
Official data shows China's consumer prices grew 2.3 percent in March from one year earlier. The increase in the Consumer Price Index, or CPI, has been attributed mainly to high prices for pork and vegetables. Pork prices increased by 28 percent from a year earlier, while vegetable prices are up by 36 percent. Other food prices increased nearly 8 percent year-on-year, while non food inflation edged up one percent. On a monthly basis, the CPI for March actually shrank 0.4 percent compared to February. Meantime, the Producer Price Index, or PPI, which measures wholesale inflation, dropped over 4 percent, year-on-year, in March, narrowing from a five percent annualized drop recorded in February.
