Stone Carvings 4 of Song rocks can tell,
Temple that Ming Emperor 5 hid’ stay.
Historic remains keep well;
Fossils of anthropoid lay,
And dinosaur relics are found 6.
Excavate burial articles of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,
Bronze drums and chime bells sound7.
In Soil Forest 8 we travel around,
On celestial being gorgeous road ground;
On old bridge of Western Stars 9
We recall the dream,
Of Dian city and town, alas!
Spring dawn in Ailao Mount and stream; 10
In terraced field green beans we grow,
Soy sauce is sweet and made fine 11.
Along the scene runs Guantong-Dali railway line12,
We drink, of Nanshan Mount cellar wine13,
And chant poems at tea in Longjiang 14 clean air.
Of domestic products we gather in Fair 15.
On embroidered shoes,
To dance at the rosy dusk lass with lad goes.
