(7) 子曰:“君子無所爭,必也射乎。揖讓而升,下而飲。其爭也君子。”
The Master Confucius said, “The gentleman has nothing / to compete against others. If he has to do it, then archery must be / the only competition. As a manner, he folds his hands in front / and bows to his competitors / before starting, then drinks after finishing. His competition is following / the rule of propriety.”
