One thing about Elvis is, he was authentic, he was the real deal. You couldn’t help but fall in love with him. He just seemed to have it all. He was every general’s soldier. He was every son to every mother. I mean, he just connected. First of all, it was just an innocent meeting, and of course I was excited, I was reluctant, because I didn’t think they’d ever let me go.
