"I felt today I've played my best tennis. There have been some minor issues in my serve recently but I think today it wasn't bad. I knew Safarova has been very good after Wimbledon, she's been on a good run and I've lost to her many times in the past too. Recently we've been quite even so out there today I was focussing hard and in the end I'm very happy to have finally won."

The Chinese men's basketball team has won this year's Yao Ming Foundation Charity Game in Dongguan, Guangdong Province.
The Chinese national team edged the NBA All Stars 119-100.
CBA players in participation include Liu Xiaoyu, Wang Zhelin and Li Xiaoxu.
NBA players include Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs, George Hill of the Indiana Pacers, and Shane Battier, who recently retired from the Miami Heat.
During the half-time break, the organizer held a retirement ceremony for Battier, who is also Yao Ming's former Houston Rockets teammate.
Proceeds from the game will benefit the Yao Ming Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season, a charity with the purpose of aiding underprivileged children through sports.
Robinho Recalled to Brazil Squad

Brazil coach Dunga has called up Robinho for friendlies against Colombia and Ecuador.
Robinho will replace Hulk who injured his left thigh in a match on Sunday.

Manchester United Agree to Sign Falcao on Loan

Manchester United has agreed to sign Colombia striker Radamel Falcao, on loan from Monaco.
The deal is subject to a medical examination and personal terms being agreed to.
Falcao has been linked throughout the summer with a move away from the French Ligue 1 side.
He has scored 11 goals in 20 appearances for Monaco.
Dutch international Daley Blind is also close to joining the club after a 13.8 million pounds fee was agreed for the defender.
