The BBC has just broken the news that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is pregnant with her second child, according to Clarence House.
A statement issued by the royals said the Queen and members from both families are delighted with the news.
Joan Rivers Burried at Star-Studded Funeral
A star-studded funeral has been held in New York for American comedian Joan Rivers, who died on Thursday at age 81.
Shock Jock Howard Stern delivered the eulogy, while musical numbers were performed by many from different parts of the entertainment world, including Broadway singer-actress Audra McDonald and actor Hugh Jackman.
The ceremony was held at the Temple of the Emanuel synagogue and brought together the worlds of Hollywood, theatre, fashion and media.
During the funeral, fellow comedian Livia Scott had this to say about the late Rivers.
"I think that she absolutely was not done. I think that it's just so inspiring that she was 81-years-old and one of the funniest people in the business."
A crowd of media stood watch behind barriers, and lining the streets were fans from as far away as Australia and England, like Karen Foley, who had this to say about what Rivers would think of all this.
"I'm sure she'd be laughing at it, wouldn't she? She'd be making a joke about it all."
The cause of death is being investigated. Rivers was taken to hospital on August 28 after she went into cardiac arrest during a routine procedure at a doctor's office.
Toronto Film Fest Heavy on Asian Features
This year's Toronto Film Festival is featuring more Asian features than any event of its kind outside of the continent.
According to Variety, the fest's Asian programmer and chief selector are credited with expanding the events Asia selection to feature a while array of films from South Asia and the east Asian region, with a notable line-up coming out of greater China.
While films like Wang Xiaoshuai's "Red Amnesia," Peter Chan Ho-sun's "Dearest" and Ann Hui's "The Golden Era," are notable titles in the fest's line-up, Toronto's other program strands feature impressive Chinese-language entries.
Screening at the fest is the biggest Chinese-themed title, "Revenge of the Green Dragons."
Executive-produced by Martin Scorsese, the crime thriller is about two men rising up the Chinese underworld in 1980s New York.
Also screening is "No Man's Land" director Ning Hao's new raunchy comedy, "Breakup Buddies."
The Chinese slate joins anticipated Asian titles like the "Hindie indie" feature, "Magarita with a Straw," and highly-anticipated South Korean high-seas drama, "Seafog."
Chinese Web Firms Bet Big on Original, Foreign Content
Chinese internet companies are taking a cue from services like Netflix betting big on original video content.
The Wall Street Journal reported that web firms in China have spent over four billion yuan, or about 650 million U.S. dollars, last year to license both foreign and domestic video content to host on streaming services based in the country.
Likewise, advertising revenue from China's online video sites last year hit just under 10 billion yuan, or 1.6 billion dollars.
That figure is expected to triple in three years.
Chinese video giant Youku Tudou's original content production manager, Yuan Yumei, told the Journal that more of the country's youth are turning to online shows in droves due to traditional media's lack of content, which resonates with the new generation.
Yuan also produces Youku Todou's original show, "Surprise," which has been viewed more than a billion times online.
Robert Downey, Jr. Says No "Iron Man 4" Coming
Tony Stark is only getting into the Iron Man suit to join the Avengers, it seems, since Robert Downey, Jr. says there is no plans for a fourth Iron Man movie.
Downey made the remarks while in Toronto to promote his new film, "The Judge," along with co-star Robert Duvall.
But Downey is still on board to play Iron Man in two "Avengers" sequels in 2015 and 2018. However, the actor is reluctant to commit to any more superhero movies.
When asked if he would let someone else play Tony Stark, Downey laughed at the thought that he had any decision in the matter.
Duvall has advised that the studio not give the super-role to anyone else.
The next Avengers movie, "Age of Ultron," hits theaters May 1 of next year.
"Asia's Got Talent" Set to Debut in 2015
The official "Got Talent" series is going pan-Asian.
Host Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment has made a deal with Sony Pictures Television to debut "Asia's Got Talent" next year.
With production beginning this month, the talent show will feature contestants from 13 countries and territories.
Auditions will be held in major cities around the continent, including Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Singapore and Bangkok.
"Asia's Got Talent" comes to TV next year on the AXN channel. Chinese online video site Youku will also air the show.
