U2's Bono apologizes for automatic album download during Apple event U2 frontman Bono has apologized to anyone bothered by the free, automatic album download. "Oops. I'm sorry about that. I had this beautiful idea and we got carried away with ourselves. Artists are prone to that kind of thing. Drop of megalomania, touch of generosity, dash of self-promotion and deep fear that these songs that we poured our life into the last few years might not be heard. There's a lot of noise out there. I guess we got a little noisy ourselves to get through it." The band played at Apple's unveiling event of the new iPhones last month and released their new album for free. The album was forced into users' iTunes libraries, instead of giving them an option to download it. Some users have complained and asked for ways to remove it. Apple have since created a help page to explain how to do that. Neil Patrick Harris to host the Oscars Actor and entertainer Neil Patrick Harris will host the Oscars next year.
