Christian Bale to play Steve Jobs in biopic British actor Christian Bale has officially signed on to play Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic. American screenwriter Aaron Sorkin confirmed that Bale is to play the late Apple co-founder in a film directed by Danny Boyle. Sorkin says it is an extremely difficult role to play but Bale is so good he "is going to crush it". The film is based on the authoritative biography "Steve Jobs" by Walter Issacson, which Jobs sanctioned himself.
