TV show traces Maritime Silk Road
Chinese navigator Zhai Mo will appear in a new TV show where he and his team will sail the old Maritime Silk Road.
It's one of the earliest ancient trade routes connecting the East and West.
The show, produced by Southeast TV in Fujian province, will start in Pingtan in Fujian.
Zhai and his team of about eight sailors from different countries will travel across Asia, Africa and Europe, stopping in countries including Singapore, Egypt and Greece and completing the tour in Milan, Italy.
Zhai says he hopes to let the world see that China is now embracing the world and the future with an equally open mind.
Bob Schieffer Announces He Is Retiring From CBS News
CBS News veteran and host of "Face the Nation" Bob Schieffer has announced he will retire this summer, ending a 50-year career in journalism.
Schieffer made the surprise announcement at the annual Schieffer Symposium at Texas Christian University last night, he said he wanted to end his career where it began.
"58 years ago when I was a student, it was the end of my softmore year here at TCU, I got my first paid job in journalism. Because that is where it all started for me, I wanted this to be the place and I wanted you all to be the first to know, that this summer I'm gonna retire."
78-year-old Schieffer, has been with CBS News for 46 years and this year marked his 24th year anchoring CBS's Sunday Beltway show.
He has interviewed every president since Richard Nixon, and is one of the few reporters in Washington to have covered all four of the major beats: the Pentagon, the White House, Congress and the State Department.
His career is not over just yet as Schieffer will be on the air this Sunday from the Washington bureau. And for a number of Sundays to come.
Universal Pictures International hits $1 billion box office sales for 2015
Led by the success of "Fifty Shades of Grey" and "Furious 7," Universal Pictures International has hit $1 billion in international box office sales for 2015.
It's the earliest that Universal has reached that milestone, besting a previous record that was set in May 2013.
According to Universal's president of international distribution Duncan Clark, this is the ninth consecutive year that Universal has grossed $1 billion internationally.
Universal is the second studio to hit the one billion mark this year. Fox International crossed the milestone for the 12th consecutive year on Saturday.
Beijing set for an Internet Film Symposium
The first Internet Film Symposium is set to open at the Beijing International Film Festival next week.
The event is co-organized by the festival's film market fair and entertainment research service provider EntGroup.
Experts in the industry will discuss the reasons for the success of internet companies and explore the future directions for Chinese films in the time of the Internet.
2014 witnessed a big wave of Chinese Internet companies investing in the film industry.

Madonna premieres official music video for "Ghosttown"
American pop singer Madonna has premiered the official music video for her new single "Ghosttown."
As promised, the iconic diva debuted the clip on the live-streaming app Meerkat before making it available on her Vevo channel.
The video features a cameo performance from "Empire" star Terrence Howard, centering on Madonna as she explores an apocalyptic city. She wanders alone through the deserted town where everything's on fire before Howard's character spots her from afar and points his rifle at her head.
He later approaches her and busts out some sexy dance moves with her while a boy looks on.
The five-and-a-half-minute clip ends with Howard, Madonna and the child walking together among the ruins.
Following up "Living for Love", "Ghosttown" is the second single off Madonna's latest album "Rebel Heart." The record debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200 following its release last month.
