The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Golden State Warriors 97-90 on Tuesday, levelling their Western Conference semi-final series 1-1.
Wearing a transparent mask to protect his swollen face and red left eye, Mike Conley returned just eight days after having facial surgery. He scored 22 points.
The Grizzlies guard says he just want to contribute to win the game.
"Well like I said earlier I didn't expect to come out and score the ball or score 22 points anything like that. I just wanted to come out and do what I do for the team, run the team, take advantage of what I see. I was aggressive early, I had some good looks and that really did me well for my confidence, so outside of that I just wanted to come in here and run the team and try to win the game."
With the victory, the Grizziles ended Golden State's 21-game home-winning streak.
The Warriors dropped to 42-3 this season at Oracle Arena, losing for the first time at home in more than three months.
Game 3 is Saturday in Memphis.
