26 People Confirmed Dead in Shipping Disaster on Yangtze 14 people have been rescued and 26 others have reportedly died following a shipping accident on the Yangtze River. Korea China has unveiled a blueprint for an industrial park in Shandong to facilitate investment by enterprises from the South Korea. Taiwan Computex show opens in Taipei Taiwan's technology giants are gathering at the annual computer expo to demonstrate their latest products and technologies. Beijing declares Didi private car services illegal Beijing transport authorities have reiterated the illegality of unlicensed taxis after grilling executives of Uber-like taxi-hailing app Didi Dache. Didi Dache services including "Didi Express" and "Didi Zhuanche" allow private car owners to accept fares for driving passengers. "Didi Express" charges slightly less than taxis. "Didi Zhuanche" charges at least 30 percent more than taxis but is still appealing thanks to frequent coupons. These actions violate existing laws and regulations. Authorities regulate that only cars officially designated as taxis may pick up paying passengers. President convenes emergency meeting on MERS South Korean President Park Geun-hye has convened an emergency meeting to discuss measures to contain the spread of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome. Also, Japan has been working to try to secure a submarine deal with Australia.
