China's Women's Football team is preparing for the opening match of the Women's World Cup coming up this weekend.
China will be playing in the opening match of the tournament against the host Canadians.
This year's Women's World Cup will include goal-line technology to confirm goals.
Laurence Upshon, head of football operations for Hawkeye, the company behind the technology, says their product has proven effective.
"Yeah certainly we've been working in other leagues for two seasons now and all the feedback from referees is very positive, it's one less thing for them to worry about. They fully trust the system, like I say over the last two seasons we've been working week in and week out having the technology running and it's been a great thing I think for the sport of football."
This year's Women's World Cup hasn't been without controversy.
Some of the matches will be played in venues with artificial turf, which has drawn concerns from several of the national teams about potential injuries, as artificial turf is much-less forgiving than natural grass.
China is in Group-A along with Canada, New Zealand and the Netherlands.
Their first game against Canada will get underway in the city of Edmonton at 6am Beijing-time on Sunday.
