Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel movies, has been cast to play the receptionist in the female-driven reboot of "Ghostbusters."
Hemsworth will play the role Annie Potts in the original film back in 1984.
Hemsworth will join Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in the film, which is scheduled to hit theaters next year.
Director Paul Feig, whose new comedy "Spy" has debuted at number-1 this week at the U.S. box office, is directing the next installment in the "Ghosbusters" franchise.
The reboot centers on the next generation of Ghostbusters, who just happen to be women.
The original Ghostbusters stared Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson as the original Ghostbusters.
Ivan Reitman, who directed and produced the original, is also producing the reboot.
