CSL: Henan Jianye to take on Shanghai Shenhua
In football action from the Chinese Super League:
Shanghai Shenhua is competing Henan Jianye at home tonight for the League's No. 5 and the clash just kicked off.
The match will close the round of play and the CSL will then go into a two-week recess before resuming for the remaining nine rounds.
Shenhua is now the 5th in the table on 29 points, while Jianye ranks 6th in the league with 2 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses over the past 9 away matches.
In Sunday's games,
Shanghai SIPG beat Chongqing Lifan 4-2 to secure its leading position in the league, with midfielder Wu Lei firing a brace.
The visitors took the lead in just the 10th minute when Wu scored his first goal on an assist by Dario Conca. The Argentine padded the lead through a direct free kick from outside the box in the 23rd.
The victory gave the Shanghai team a one-point advantage over defending CSL champion Guangzhou Evergrande, who had a hard-fought 1-0 win against Hangzhou Greentown in another match.
Evergrande, the reigning CSL champions, stretched their unbeaten league run to 17 matches with the victory, moving to second in the standings on 44 points.
Former leader Beijing Guo'an suffered a 2-1 away loss against Guizhou Renhe and dropped to the fourth place.
Mexico beat Jamaica 3-1 to win the Concacaf Gold Cup

Mexico have beaten Jamaica 3-1 to win the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the tenth time in the competition's 52-year history.
The two teams clash was at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sunday.
The Caribbean side produced one of the biggest upsets in the history of the tournament when they beat the USA 2-1 in their semi-final on Wednesday, with Darren Mattocks and Giles Barnes both scoring in a five minute spell.
New York Red Bulls come back to beat Benfica 2-1 in ICC

The New York Red Bulls have come from behind to beat Portuguese champions Benfica 2-1 in the International Champions Cup on Sunday.
Just as they did against Chelsea on Wednesday, New York fell behind early in the game.
The game finished 2-1 and Benfica leave the USA with three straight defeats.
New York's participation in the International Champions Cup is over and they will now switch their focus back to Major League Soccer.
Nanjing loses again at women's volleyball tournament in Vietnam
In volleyball,
The Chinese volleyball club of Nanjing has lost 3-0 to Vietnam at the 2015 International Women's Volleyball Tournament - VTV Cup in southern Vietnam's Bac Lieu province.
Vietnam crushed Nanjing with scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-15 on Sunday. Nanjing has lost 3-0 to DPR Korea a day earlier.
Vietnamese players managed to have eight aces, while the Chinese girls finished four. Despite gaining the lopsided triumph, Vietnamese players made 18 failed serves in this match.
Also on Sunday, the Chinese volleyball club of Liaoning whitewashed DPR Korea, and Thailand's under-23 team defeated the Philippines, with the same score of 3-0.
Today Liaoning are competing with Nanjing, Vietnam with Thailand, and DPR Korea with the Philippines.
IOC president Thomas Bach visits sports facility in Kuala Lumpur
International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach has visited the training headquarters of the Badminton Association of Malaysia.
The IOC boss is in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur for this week's Executive Board meetings and the election of a host city for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
Bach says the key issue in deciding the host city is whether it can deliver a great games.
"The key issue is to deliver a great games, for the athletes and that means having an offer which offers a great conditions in the sport facilities but also to have a project which addresses the issues of Olympic agenda 2020, that means to have sustainable and feasible Olympic Games."
2008 Summer Games host Beijing is competing against Almaty, Kazakhstan for the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympiad.
The election and announcement will take place on July 31st.
Jason Day birdies the final three holes to win the Canadian Open
In golf,
Jason Day has spoiled Canadian hopes of a first home-grown winner in 61 years at the Canadian Open with a one-stroke victory on Sunday.
The 27-year-old Australian birdied the last three holes at Glen Abbey to triumph by one over American Bubba Watson and by two over Canadian David Hearn, the 54-hole leader.
Day ended the tournament in style by rolling in a clutch 22-foot putt at the par-five 18th for a closing four-under-par 68 and a winning total of 17-under 271.
He says he feels great about the performance.
"I gave myself an opportunity out there and I took it, which was great. And, you know, to be able to do that, it just gives me a lot more confidence going into the rest of the season. But right now, I'm just going to try and soak it in as much as possible. It's, I played great all week and I'm very happy with our performance."
It was his second PGA Tour win of the season, the fourth of his career and followed up a strong tie for fourth at last week's British Open.
Watson and Hearn, playing in the final pairing, shot 69 and 72, respectively.
In other action,
Marco Dawson wins the Senior Open at Sunningdale by a single shot.
And Danny Willett secured his third European Tour title at the European Masters in Switzerland.
On women's side,
Lexi Thompson won the Meijer LPGA Classic on Sunday with a final-round six-under-par 65 in Michigan.
And Rebecca Artis fought back from six shots off the lead at the start of the day to win the LET Ladies Scottish Open in Troon.
