Bobbi Kristina Brown dies at 22
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late singer Whitney Houston has died after months of being in a coma.
She was 22.
Her death came almost six months after her partner Nick Gordon found her unconscious, face down in her bathtub at their home in Roswell, Georgia, back in January.
Bobbi's death mirrored her mother's who was found dead aged 48, in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton hotel room the day before the Grammy awards on Feb. 11, 2012.
Linkin Park holds concert in Beijing
American rock band Linkin Park played at the Beijing Workers' Stadium last night as the last stop of their five-city tour in China.
The tour has been launched in support of their sixth studio album "The Hunting Party".
The six-piece band has also performed their hit singles which are familiared by their Chinese fans like "In The End", "What I've Done", "New Divide" and "Numb".
Linkin Park has a massive following in China.
Statistics from the Tencent video shows that over 1.9 million people watched the live broadcast of the show through their channel.
"Lady of the Dynasty" Starring Fan Bingbing Opens on July 30
After a few years in development, the epic film about the famous Tang Dynasty beauty Yang Guifei is finally coming to theaters this coming Thursday.
Chinese actress Fan Bingbing has recently promoted her upcoming historical movie Lady of the Dynasty in Beijing.
In the movie Lady of the Dynasty, Fan acts as the Tang-dynasty Emperor Xuanzong's beloved concubine, Yang Yuhuan. The entire film centers on the legendary royal romance.
The leading actress said that it is not actually her maiden screen role as the famed concubine.
"I acted Yang Yuhuan in a TV drama series about ten years ago. At that time, I wondered if I would became a film actress. Then I would be able to act as the famed concubine again, and portray the character wholeheartedly. And now I'm really lucky to have my dream come true a decade later."
The entrepreneur-turned director Cheng Shiqing is experiencing his directorial debut with the work.
Big names are reported to be involved in the directing team, including Zhang Yimou and Tian Zhuangzhuang.
The film was first announced in early 2009, but filming was delayed several times until 2013.
Avril Lavigne Performs For First Time in a Year at Special Olympics, Still Battling Lyme Disease
Avril Lavigne has taken to the stage for the first time in a year to perform during the Special Olympics World Games' opening ceremony in Los Angeles.
The 30-year-old pop star debut her new single "Fly" during the ceremony.
The "Girlfriend" singer revealed earlier this year that she's been battling Lyme disease.
Lavigne went on to explain that she wrote "Fly" to "encourage people who are facing challenges, to encourage strength and to empower.
U2 Perform 'Ordinary Love' with Lady Gaga
U2's epic eight-night stand at the Madison Square Garden has become something of a celebrity parade with stars filling the stage and the seats.
At Sunday night's U2 concert at New York's Madison Square Garden, the legendary quartet were joined by the tri-state area's own Lady Gaga for a duet on "Ordinary Love,"
The song originally featured on the soundtrack for 2013 Nelson Mandela biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
Gaga played The Edge's piano and sang lead and backing vocals on the song.
U2 is in the midst of an eight night stand at the Garden; they have three shows left.
The band's residency thus far has been attended by the likes of musicians Sir Paul McCartney, Nile Rodgers, Alicia Keys and Jon Bon Jovi.
