Arnold Schwarzenegger premieres 'Terminator Genisys' in China
Arnold Schwarzenegger has gone on a charm offensive in Shanghai to promote his latest film "Terminator Genisys".
The latest installment of the hugely-successful franchise premiered in the city on Wednesday.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and director Alan Taylor surprised fans and attended the promotion event.
The 68-year-old Hollywood action star and former governor of California said Taylor and he were having a great time promoting the film in China.
"And we're having a great time presenting to the Chinese audience this movie. I want to say 'thank you' to the Chinese fans. The Chinese fans have been the most loyal fans. I want to thank you all for supporting my movies and making the movies so popular here in China."
The two had a busy schedule during their promotional tour in China.
In addition to visiting an art exhibition, Schwarzenegger appeared on an episode of the popular Chinese talent show, "the Voice of China."
"Terminator Genisys" will hit Chinese theaters on Sunday.
China-U.S. Agency Leeding Management Launched
Leeding Management- a new Sino-U.S. talent management firm has been established by Chinese-American Hollywood film producer David U. Lee's Leeding Media.
Chinese director and actor Jiang Wen, who recently joined the cast of "Star Wars" Rogue One" is among the first clients of Leeding Management.
David U. Lee is best known for co-producing the films "The Forbidden Kingdom", "Shanghai", and "Inseparable".
He founded Leeding Media in 2008.
The company is an independent aggregator and marketer of films in China. It controls the digital distribution rights to 400 titles in China.
It also helped orchestrate the launch and ongoing operation of Lionsgate Entertainment World, which is the subscription streaming service between Alibaba Group and Lionsgate.
Lang Lang Cancels Debut Edinburgh International Festival Concert
Chinese pianist Lang Lang has had to cancel his first appearance at the Edinburgh International Festival on Wednesday.
The musician has an ear infection and has been advised by doctors not to travel.
He is hopeful he will be able to perform in Edinburgh on Friday in a solo recital.
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green Split
It's been reported that A-list couple Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have separated.
The couple has been living separately for six months after five years of marriage and over a decade of being together.
According to US Weekly's source, the couple called it quits after their relationship became "rocky."
29-year-old Fox and 42-year-old Green have two kids together.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 actor also has a 13-year-old son from a previous relationship.
Fox and Green first met in 2004 when they both appeared on an episode of ABC's sitcome "Hope & Faith".
The two were engaged in 2006, and then broke off their engagement in 2009.
They became re-engaged and married in 2010.
"Walking Dead" Spinoff Unfolds New Fears
The cast of "Fear the Walking Dead"-the spinoff of AMC's monster hit "The Walking Dead" have given devotees a glimpse of the upcoming series.
Executive producer Dave Erickson says the spinoff is basically a family drama:
"One of the interesting things about the show, especially in the first season, is that it is the apocalypse seen through a family drama. It's about a blended, dysfunctional family and how they try to come together. And the irony is that the only thing that brings them together is the end of the world."
"Fear" begins in the early days of the robust apocalypse underway in the original series.
The plot centers around the blended families of Madison Clark and Travis Manawa, played by Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis, respectively.
"Fear" debuts this Sunday with a six-episode run on AMC.
French musician to Break Record by Playing 37 songs within 12 hours
French musician Gerald Genty is set to beat a world record after playing 37 concerts within 12 hours.
40-year-old Genty played 37 gigs in a host of bars and venues across Brussels on Wednesday.
The sporty guitarist says he chose the Belgian capital because of its plentiful offering of venues in close proximity.
To achieve the record, Genty had to play for a minimum of ten minutes in different locations, with independent witnesses present to verify his attempt throughout the day.
