Sunny Murray

Just heard that one of the earliest, loudest and greatest free jazz men, Sunny Murray, has passed away and left us all. Among other drummers and percussionists Sunny was a legend. Recalling his soaring, diverse music in mind already makes me thrilled, yet he still brings surprise every time I turn up the volume. So many stories about this tough guy through the years have been told. His struggles and devotions are simply unquestionable.
