Well, we human beings have a natural tendency of being attracted to beautiful things, and people in China are no exception, so we would try to make ourselves look as attractive as possible, too, especially the young generation. But while most people are in a hurry to increase their physical beauty, few actually recognize the importance of inner beauty, such as wisdom and humor. And I think that’s quite a serious misconception, as it is your inner beauty that forms binding and long-lasting relationships, not your physical attractiveness. People may be drawn to a person’s beautiful appearance at first, but without a thoughtful and interesting mind to back it up, that person is nothing more than a beautiful but empty shell.
