问题:Should children start watching news from a young age? No, not at all. Some might say that watching news has some educational benefits, but they clearly haven’t thought it through. Let’s just think about some of the contents that are broadcasted on news. A lot of times they include some really horrifying stories that involve violence or disasters, and there are a lot of gory details like, you know, terrorists beheading hostages, or infants falling from a high-rise and stuff like that. I think the appropriate time for children to watch news is when they step into their teenage years, when they are mature enough to understand the concept of death. Until then, I think it’s best to keep them away from the TV and just bury them in books and toys.
