Comments:
Lilly read with good stress, intonation, and pronunciation. However, she did make a few errors, described below:
When reading the word “busy”, the first vowel is an /ih/ and the second is an /iy/, but she pronounced both vowels as /iy/. To make the /iy/ sound, her lips will be stretched wide, as if she is smiling. To make the correct /ih/ sound, she should relax her lips.
Tall – The /l/ was not clear
With – The /th/ was a little quiet and not clear
She pronounced the word “found” like “fond”. The vowel in “found” is longer, /aw/
In the phrase, “Isn’t there, biscuit?” the word “isn’t” should have the main stress, but she put stress on the word “there”. It should be “ISN’T there, biscuit?” but she read it as, “isn’t THERE, biscuit?”
