Passage 3 本集歌曲:You decorated my life --Kenny Rogers ①The cartoon vividly shows an important truth that gossip is harmful.②Gossip could not spread without the“cooperation”of two people –one can be our close friend and the other our hostile enemy.③There is no denying that gossip exists wherever we are, but few people could pay attention to the way damaging gossiping is unconsciously spread. ④Small wonder, it is your close friends who has committed a terrible blunder, unintentionally or intentionally.⑤For example, when one of your friends hears some defaming words against you, he feels that if he exaggerates the gossip and tells it to you without any hesitation, he will definitely win your favor.⑥He always fails to realize that his misdeeds will inevitably make the situation worse.⑦What he spreads is hatred, not good will nor cooperation at all. 8In modern communities, it is of great importance that we spread good will,not gossip. We should be cooperative in our meaningful endeavors,but not in spreading something harmful or detrimental. In a true sense,our happiness depends in large measure on cooperative good will, not cooperative gossip.
