One African man decided that he didn’t like waiting, and so, he cut the queue. Cut the queue means 插队. I shouted at him, “我又不是你妈凭什么让着你!”. All the people around me started to support me and say “Yeah! Go to the back!”
In American English, line is used more often; and in British English queue. These two mean the same thing. And instead of cut, we can also use jump. So, it would be “jump the queue”. All these are the same!
So,what if someone cut the queue and we wanted to tell them politely? We could say : “Please line up,okay?”.
他们用英语对他说“yeah, go to the back.”
除了cut the queue 或line,我们也可以说jump the queue或line。
