1. In a way, problem solving is a disease. You want to do it and although each one is a headache, it’s there to be solved. It’s a mountain to climb, mountaineers have that disease and we have that.
2. We were a group of engineers, starting to want to make a different type of product, with better technology and we’ve carried on like that. Things are tooheavy, things are too polluting, things don't perform as well as they should, things don’t last as long as they should.
3. There are just hundreds of problems in every product. What we’re doing is trying to do something different and better. If you always do what you know is going to work, then OK, you’ll have less failure, but you’ll never make a substantive change or breakthrough.
4. What we’re trying to do every day, is to make better technology and design, develop better performing products. And I think we’ve gathered around us a groupof people who want to do that.
从一种角度来说,问题解决是一种病。你会想要去解决问题,尽管每一个问题都令人伤脑筋,但问题就在那里等着被解决。就像是山在那里等着被攀登一样,登山者有这样的病,我们也有。
我们是一群工程师,一开始想要用更高的科技制造出与众不同的产品,我们也一直贯行这一信念。东西太重了,特别容易污染环境,性能并不像预期那样,也不像预期那样耐用。
每个产品都有成百上千的问题。我们所做的就是努力做一些独特的产品,更好的产品。如果你做得永远都是你知道能行得通的,不错,你不怎么会遇到失败,但是也永远无法做出实质性的改变或突破。
我们每天努力做的就是革新技术与设计,开发性能更好的产品。我认为我们已经聚集了一群想要这样做的人。
