介绍:
A cross-border e-commerce zone in east China's Hangzhou saw surging business during 2015. The zone was established in March last year as a way of exploring opportunites in the relatively new business area. Zhang Ji, Assistant Minister with China's Commerce Ministry gives more details. "By November, 2015, the trade volume in the cross-border e-commerce zone in Hangzhou soared to 3 billion U.S. dollars from less than 20 million dollars in 2014. The zone accomodated 12 business parks and brought in 330 companies. The zone has supported growth in logistics, finance, customs and payment services. It has also shored up the development for innovation industry and small and medium sized enterprises." Zhang says that the government has established preliminary policies and management systems for such businesses, after trialing in the Hangzhou zone. But he notes that cross-border e-commerce business still makes up a small part of China's total trade volume. China is looking to cross-border e-commerce as one of the ways to boost trade amid a slowdown seen in both exports and imports last year.
