Another new record has been set in the spending for players as Chinese Super League team Jiangsu Suning picked up Brazilian midfielder Alex Teixeira for 50 million Euros.
The announcement came on Friday as the 26-year-old football star agreed to a four year contract.
The amount paid for Suning's new player tramples the record spending previously set by Guangzhou last Wednesday.
Evergrande had spent 42 million by picking up Colombian Jackson Martinez.
When asked about this expensive move, Manager for Suning, Liu Jun stated that "Alex is a versatile player who will boost the competitiveness of our team considerably".
Liu would also go on to state that his team is looking to pick up a new forward.
