Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Min Ho Both Coming to Jiangsu
South Korean heartthrob Kim Soo Hyun is coming to China! He will arrive in Jiangsu to shoot an episode of the reality show "The Brain" on March 8th.
This is Kim's first appearance in China.
That same day, Lee Min Ho will also be in Jiangsu to attend a commercial activity.
Both are highly popular in China, especially amongst Chinese women. Kim Soo Hyun's claim to fame was his role in the hit TV drama "You Who Came From the Stars" while Lee has recently made appearances on China Central Television.
The question that remains is which of the two South Korean stars will dominate headlines on March 8th, also known as Women's Day.
Shakira Opens Another School in Colombia
Colombian pop star Shakira has sponsored a new school for needy children in Cartagena. The school is funded by her "Pies Descalzos," or "Barefoot," Foundation.
Alongside Colombia's First Lady, Maria Clemencia Rodriguez de Santos, Shakira opened the school that will accommodate some 1,700 students in Northern Colombia.
The Latin superstar attended the opening ceremony with her son Milan and addressed the children who were present.
"I am very happy to see your little faces, students who will be studying at this school. I see that you are very excited and that gives me great joy to know that in this space you will have all the necessary tools to one day become good citizens, to grow up healthy, protected, away from violence, away from drugs and close to your ideals.
This is the eighth school Shakira has sponsored for needy children through her Barefoot Foundation.
Katy Perry and John Mayer Getting Married
Katy Perry and John Mayer, who have been dating for about a year and a half, are planning to get married this coming June. The two stars made headlines when Perry was seen on Valentine's Day wearing a ring on her left hand. Speculations that the two are engaged were confirmed by insiders saying that the couple has already found the perfect venue for their wedding.
Katy Perry's pastor father, Keith Hudson, will officiate their nuptials.
Perry's upcoming marriage became a hot topic after she caught one of the bouquets of flowers thrown by a couple that were wed during Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' performance of 'Same Love' at the Grammy Awards. According to western tradition, the person who catches a wedding bouquet when the bride throws it is due to be married next.
Former U.S. President George W. Bush Will Hold Art Exhibit
Former U.S. President George W. Bush will be holding his first art exhibition beginning in April.
Since Bush has left the White House, he has kept a relatively low public profile. An exception to this rule has been his amateur art career. Some of his paintings were leaked online last year and, bowing to growing public interest, the former president jokingly touted his own artwork to Jay Leno during an appearance on "The Tonight Show" last year.
"LENO: You're painting now. You've shown me some of your paintings, I was very impressed.
BUSH: I – I am a painter.
LENO: Oh, oh you are a painter now!
BUSH: I mean, you may not think I'm a painter. I think I'm a painter.
LENO: Is that second on your resume? President of the United States, painter?
BUSH: Well, depends on whether or not you like the painting or not."
The upcoming exhibition is titled "The Art of Leadership: A President's Personal Diplomacy" and will be held at the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas, Texas. It will feature two dozen never-before-exhibited portraits created by Bush.
